Exploring the Evidence Base for Integrated and Sustainable Research, Healthcare and Workforce for Patients

The ECIM 2015 Global Summit offers an innovative, solution-driven platform for physicians and healthcare practitioners, researchers and students, politicians and patients, to collectively exchange and discuss research and research findings in the field of integrative medicine and collectively work on the vision and science, economics and education for optimal healthcare. There will be moderated academic and scientific sessions and open-forum expert panel discussions with interactive feedback from these sessions. We will gather together in Greater Copenhagen, gateway to Scandinavia’s Medicon Valley and the Nordic Regions. We invite you to enjoy a pre-summit concert at the DR Koncerthuset and a Pre-Summit 1st annual Nordic Symposium on Patient Engagement and Patient-Centered Healthcare at the University of Copenhagen Rigshospitalet before traveling North to Helsingør, home to Hamlet’s Kronborg Castle where the Summit will be hosted at the breathtaking waterfront crystal Culture Yard. Participants will gather together in halls with views of the sea toward Sweden, which will be used for Parallel Research Sessions and ReThinkBox Sessions that will explore the prominent issues that healthcare is facing globally and the scientific evidence for or against Integrative Medicine that includes Complementary and Traditional Medicine.

Deadline for Submission
Abstracts and proposals must be submitted by June 30th, 2015. Late submissions will be considered at the sole discretion of the ECIM 2015 Scientific Review Board Committee.
Abstract  and Presentation Language
Abstracts and presenter information MUST be typed in English in MS Word format using Times New Roman 12 point font using the on-line form. The oral and poster presentation language is English.
Author Information
The full names of each author, their affiliations and the e mail of the Corresponding author are also requiredPlease enter the contact information for additional authors on the submission. The order the authors appear on the submission page will be the order they are listed in the abstract book publication. Please confirm the correct order before proceeding.
Title of Presentation
Title must be entered in title case. (First word initial Capital, capitals only for ACRONYMS and first letter of a Proper Noun). Do not use all capitals in the title. Title are limited to 150 characters, including spaces and punctuation and should indicate the content.
Presentation Format
All presentations will be considered for either a poster and/or oral presentation. Please indicate your preferred presentation format, poster and/or oral.

Content of Abstracts
Your submission (excluding the abstract title) is limited to a maximum of 250 words. The word count is cumulative of all fields.A concise and factual abstract is required. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions. An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. For this reason, References should be avoided, but if essential, then cite the author(s) and year(s). Also, non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself. The abstract should be structured with four sub-headings:

1. Introduction (which should include the aim of the study)
2. Methods (materials used, methodology)
3. Results
4. Discussion/Conclusions
Unsubstantiated speculation should not be included. Footnotes may not be used. No references required.The full names of each author, their affiliations and the e mail of the Corresponding author are also required
Poster Presentations
Poster presentations will be displayed in a dedicated section of the congress area. Poster board will be provided to display your materials. The board size is 2.5m high – 1m wide and the poster size is 1.8m high – 0.9m wide. Materials, including your poster title, should not extend beyond the poster size. Make your own poster easy to read with some visual display. Produce material that is legible from a distance of at least three feet. Remember the audience may have a short time frame to pay attention to your poster. Use color for highlighting, pictures, diagrams and figures to make your poster more attractive. Presenter will be responsible to put up and take down poster board display according to the scheduled presentation time by ECIM 2015 Secretariat. The presentation should be in English, which is the official language of the ECIM 2015.
Oral Presentations
Abstract oral presentations will be 15 minutes including 5 minutes for Q&A discussion. Each Oral abstract session will be 90 minutes. Presenters will be notified of their presentation schedule by ECIM 2015 Secretariat.

Peer Review Process
All abstracts will be subject to review by the ECIM 2015 Scientific Review Board Committee.
Conditions
Abstracts, oral presentations, sessions, workshops and posters must not contain any kind of advertising.
Please Note
· Abstracts must be the author’s own work.
· The invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the Congress. Similarly, no speaker fee is paid to successful participants. All speakers must register for the Congress.
· The ECIM 2015 Scientific Review Board Committee reserves the right to allocate abstracts into sessions as they see fit in accordance with the overall program objectives.
· Abstracts that do not include sufficient data may be rejected.
· If successful, you will be required to confirm your acceptance of the invitation and register to attend the conference (if not already registered).
